Madeline Taylor

I am a freelance wardrobe supervisor, costume maker and milliner for theatre, dance, opera, contemporary performance and film.  I also work in theatre production more generally as a production manager and designer. Alongside my artistic practice I also teach and research in these areas at QUT in the fashion, theatre and design disciplines, and am doing a PhD at University of Melbourne examining design collaboration. More info about my solo projects is available in my portfolio.

I joined The Stitchery Collective in 2012 when I got back from a year living in the UK and was feeling very disconnected from my creative practice. Being part of this wonderful creative group really helped inspire me again. I am most passionate about our projects that challenge what fashion is, and the expectations and structures that it usually works within.
